- Work directly with equipment manufacturers and electric utility personnel to develop detailed vehicle and equipment specifications that will enhance safe work practices
- Visit equipment manufacturer facilities as needed to verify design specifications and product quality standards are met during the manufacturing process
- Develop multiple supplier resources to support competitive price bidding
- Manage new unit delivery to meet budget targets
- Conduct technical evaluations and testing of fleet equipment
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure specifications align with field requirements
- Maintain vendor performance metrics and quality documentation
- Support fleet reliability initiatives through proactive design improvements
- Tracks and reports on project performance
- Prepares communications, presentations, and conducts meetings
- Delivers standards, policies, training, and support of organization
- Researches, develops, and applies improvement measures
- Works on all aspects of engineering design and permitting
- Works with other departments within organization to establish customer requirements and project costs
- Meets attendance and storm duty requirements
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
- Bachelor's - Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program
- Experience: 5+ years post-Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
- Master's Degree
- Six Sigma Master Black Belt
