We leverage our expertise in virtual estimating and innovative claims management technology, transforming the end-to-end claims process - delivering faster, modern experiences for claims organizations of all sizes.About the Role: We are looking for a Engineering Manager to join Snapsheet’s Claims Management team that is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to create impactful solutions. This team develops cutting-edge solutions for our main SaaS product, Snapsheet Cloud, that brings modern technology and processes to claims organizations. As part of the Claims Management team, you will be collaborating with your team in delivering industry leading features, APIs and scalability initiatives for our product. As the Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the team in defining architectures and solutions that span our entire cloud platform. You'll drive major initiatives while fostering strong relationships and guiding the team's ongoing success.At Snapsheet, Engineering Managers are not just people leaders—they’re also builders and strategists who stay close to the code and the customer.What you will do as an Engineering Manager:
  • Manage and contribute to upcoming projects
  • Coach and mentor a team of high powered engineers.
  • Write code in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to quality.
  • Collaborate with other development teams, product management and design to identify and solve challenging, cross-domain problems.
  • Contribute to architecture, strategy and decisions.
  • Coordinate, scope and execute on large initiatives.
  • Play an influential role in growing Snapsheet to be the industry leader in technology.
  • Partner with our internal recruitment team to screen, interview and hire top talent.
What we are looking for:
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field
  • 5+ years of full-stack web development experience
  • Designing and building APIs
  • Designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases
  • Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
  • Prior experience using back end languages, Ruby on Rails a plus
  • Prior experience using front end web frameworks
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an engineering manager, team lead, or lead developer-like role.

Compensation that Grows with YouFor this position, the base salary range is $180,000-200,000.
