- Lead the team on your assigned unit, assuring completion of all assigned resident care needs
- Provide direct "hands-on" patient care, including passing medications and performing treatments
- Oversee and guide CNA's work to ensure quality resident care and completeness
- Assists in the admission, transfer & discharge of residents
- Communicate closely with the Supervisor/Manager in terms of resident problems, progress, and care plans
- Direct and demonstrate individualized supportive care to the residents and their families while working cooperatively as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team
- Current Licensed Professional Nurse license in the State of New York
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Respect for the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents
- Prior experience in long-term care is helpful but not necessary
