Learn more about our in our .Project Overview:Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).Brownsville, Texas is a city known for its diverse history, tradition, and rich culture. Brownsville embraces innovation, looks forward to the future and beyond!Job Summary:In this role, you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data for proposals or contracts. You will perform schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis and assist with schedule recovery plans. Your work will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives. #LI-CS1Major Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the preparation of schedule data for proposals or contracts
  • Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
  • Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
  • Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
  • Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
  • Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
  • Assists with schedule recovery plans
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision. This includes using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design, construction, and procurement practices.
  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in using PC operating systems and several basic software applications. Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications currently used by Bechtel (e.g., Ecosys, Primavera, and Microsoft PowerBi).
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
  • Knowledgeable about current industry and technical developments.
