- Review's work orders or takes direction from the leadership team to determine what jobs are required, and in what order to run them.
- Assist the leader in the set-up of the machine.
- Verifies that all positions have been checked and ready to start.
- Ensures machine is kept running by observing and correcting problems that arise.
- Monitor's quality of alignment and weld process, pipe specifications, cement lining, and application of coating.
- Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs to machinery and equipment. Refers electrical and hydraulic problems to maintenance department for resolution.
- Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of the product.
- Adheres to all safety rules and brings safety issues to the attention of department leadership or safety manager.
- Follows all work procedures, policies, and protocols.
- Performs other tasks instructed by leadership team.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to read, write, and interpret simple documents and instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations to employees, and members of leadership.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to compute ratio and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
- Must be able to read and interpret linear and circumference measurements using tape measures and calipers.
- Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must be able to read, interpret, and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be able to operate computer controlled hydrostatic test stand, including reading and interpreting console indicators and gauges, and using control console to conduct tests.
- Must be able to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
- Must have the willingness to rotate to different positions as requested by manager or team leader.
- Experience as a welder.
- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
