Project Manager / Estimator – Excavation & Underground UtilitiesA well-established and growing civil construction contractor is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager/Estimator with proven experience in excavation and underground utility work. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and confident managing projects from concept through completion.Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate estimates and bids for excavation and utility projects (water, sewer, storm drain, etc.)Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reportsSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotesDevelop project budgets, schedules, and timelinesLead project kickoff meetings and oversee job progress from pre-construction to closeoutCoordinate with field superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure quality, safety, and timely completionMonitor job costs and provide regular reports on financial and schedule statusManage change orders, RFIs, and all related documentationQualifications:5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on excavation and underground utilitiesStrong estimating background with hands-on experience preparing takeoffs and bid packagesProven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneouslyExcellent communication and leadership skillsProficiency in construction management software (e.g., B2W, HCSS, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar)Ability to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team membersBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)What’s Offered:Competitive compensation packageOpportunities for career advancement within a reputable and growing contractorA team-first culture focused
