- Train new colleagues on daily tasks, policies, and procedures
- Inspect rooms and ensuring the meet the highest standards of cleanliness
- Help with daily operations and coordination of the department
- Perform supply inventory
- Open and close Room Attendant assignments
- Conduct line-up meetings
- Perform general cleaning tasks and Room Attendant and/or House Attendant duties as needed using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests
- Verify rooms are vacant and initiate maintenance requests
- Welcome, Greet, and escort guests as needed
- Display a friendly, courteous and professional demeanor in all interactions with guests, patrons and other employees
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the hotel
- Assist with oversight of the responsibilities of the Housekeeping Department including Room Cleaning, Public Area Cleaning, Laundry & Guest laundry services
- Possess a positive attitude
- Must be service oriented
- Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to subordinates
- Must be familiar with using computers and sending emails
- Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
- The ability to exercise the personal discipline and extra diligence to assure that projects are completed on timely basis.
- Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Must be able walk, stand and exert well placed mobility for up to eight (8) hours
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
