Coterra is hiring a Natural Gas Gathering and Processing ManagerJOB SUMMARYAs the Natural Gas Gathering and Processing Manager, you are responsible for negotiating, managing, and optimizing commercial agreements related to the gathering, compression, treating, and processing of natural gas. You will serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders (commercial, legal, land, and operations) and external parties including midstream service providers, producers, and joint venture partners. Ideally you will have a deep understanding of midstream commercial structures, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex contracts across multiple basins or assets. This position is located onsite at our headquarters in Houston, Texas.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESNegotiate, draft, and administer gas gathering, processing, and related midstream commercial agreementsEvaluate contract terms and structures to optimize commercial value, operational flexibility, and risk mitigationLead and mentor a team of G&P reps; provide strategic direction, performance feedback, and skills developmentManage and maintain key midstream relationships with third-party service providers, joint venture partners, and counterpartiesCollaborate with internal teams including commercial, operations, land, legal, and finance to ensure alignment on contractual obligations and strategic goalsSupport business development initiatives through analysis of midstream options, commercial risk assessment, and deal structuringMonitor contract compliance and performance, including volumes, fees, and service quality; work with stakeholders to address discrepancies or disputesTrack and communicate key contract milestones, renewals, and obligationsConduct market research and benchmark midstream commercial terms across regions to inform strategic decisionsAssist in due diligence and integration of assets related to acquisitions, divestitures, or joint venturesEnsure internal systems and contract databases are accurate, current, and accessibleSKILLS AND EXPERIENCEExperience in the oil & gas industry with a focus on midstream agreements, land, or commercial contract managementStrong understanding of natural gas gathering, treating, compression, and processing infrastructure and commercial modelsNegotiating and managing complex commercial agreements and fee structuresExcellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office, contract management systems, and data analysis toolsEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, Energy Management, or a related fieldMBA or Masters in Energy or Finance preferredYEARS OF EXPERIENCEMinimum of seven (7) years Oil and Gas Industry Experience, Ten years or more preferredWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDWork is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting, and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced.
