ResponsibilitiesTRC has multiple openings for Transportation Construction Inspectors of all levels throughout West Virginia. This is a full-time, direct hire role with full benefits and the opportunity to advance with an established, growing company.Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily site inspections for highway and/or bridge construction projects to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Measure and record pay quantities.
  • Prepare daily reports.
  • Review the Contractor's schedule.
Review and provide input on potential change order issues.
  • Maintain project records.
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Six (6) months of construction experience with bridges, roadways, and highways.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to obtain WVTRET Certification within six (6) months of hire.
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications (not required):
  • WVTRET Certification (Level I - V).
  • WVDOH Materials Certifications in Soil - Aggregate Compaction, Portland Cement Concrete and Asphalt Field - Compaction.
  • Associate's degree in civil engineering technology, or related.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering technology, or related.
