The Junior Financial Analyst works with a team of analysts responsible for commercial loan file review activities of various financial institutions in support of SBA’s 7(a) Guaranteed Loan Program.Note: The position does not include reviews of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) or Economic Injury Disaster Loans (‘EIDL’) loan programs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform commercial loan file reviews in accordance with standard due diligence techniques to determine compliance with SBA and other regulatory requirements
  • Document the results of loan file reviews
  • Enter loan review results into a proprietary software program
Applicant should have:
  • Minimum of 3+ years' recent experience with the following SBA 7(a) loan programs:
  • 7(a) Standard
  • 7(a) Small
  • Express
  • 5+ years of recent experience in commercial loan activities in accordance with standard due diligence processes at regulatory agencies, financial institutions, or similar organizations.
  • Working knowledge of SBA’s 7(a) Loan Program Requirements including, but not limited to:
  • Loan application process and required documentation.
  • Eligibility requirements for the per SOP 50 10 6.
  • Underwriting of 7(a) Standard, 7(a) Small, and Express loan requests.
  • Loan closing process and documentation.
  • 2+ years of experience with collections or special asset management of SBA 7(a) is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, analyze financial information, calculate key indicators, and identify credit risks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams applications.
  • Organized individual with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication and interpretation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a fully remote review team located throughout the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred; however, 7+ years’ SBA 7(a) loan experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience managing people, including performance evaluations and staff development
  • Effective communication is key in explaining audit findings.
  • Problem-solving abilities that will help you analyze problems, evaluate alternative solutions, and make sound recommendations to address issues and improve reporting accuracy.

The projected compensation range for this position is between $90,000.00 and $105,000.00 (annualized USD) based on experience, skills, and certifications. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Williams Adley’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
