We are passionate about patient care and dedicated to improving quality of life through life-changing vision procedures and treatments.MN Eye Consultants is currently hiring for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Ophthalmic Technician Lead for our Crosstown clinic. The Technician Lead provides peer leadership within the Technician team in addition to working collaboratively with Clinic Leadership. There is an additional $2.00 per hour while assigned to this expanded technician role. The Technician Lead will not be required to travel between clinic locations and will be provided approximately 2-4 hours of weekly admin time when staffing allows.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Welcome and acknowledge all patients and guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank others with genuine appreciation.
  • Obtain complete patient histories including chief complaint, past ocular/medical history, family medical/ocular history and history of allergies and medications.
Perform and document subjective and objective ophthalmic testing efficiently to provide basic information necessary for ophthalmic examinations. This includes but is not limited to: history, visual acuities, lensometry (manual and auto), refractometry, keratometry (manual and automated), visual fields, tonometry, assisting with office proceduresEducate patients regarding diagnostic testing and their clinic visitOpen and close exam rooms, ensure all equipment is clean and ready for the doctor; stock all necessary suppliesQualifications
  • Must currently be a Technician II or III meeting performance expectations*
  • Employed full time
*Note: Leads must maintain acceptable performance while serving in this role. Lead duties, responsibilities, and additional compensation may be removed if performance/attendance concerns occur.Benefits
