Job SummaryNetwork TechnicianTEEMACONTRACT TO PERMANENTIn-Office | Vincennes, IN, United StatesPosition OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Junior Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise network infrastructure. This role focuses on network security, connectivity, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while helping to maintain a highly available and resilient environment.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Security & ComplianceAssist in managing and updating ACL policies to prevent intrusions and mitigate DDoS attacks.Ensure all network configurations meet HIPAA compliance requirements.Implement network segmentation to improve security and redundancy.Wireless & Infrastructure ManagementInstall, design, and implement wireless infrastructure for new locations and migrations.Manage and optimize wireless performance, reduce latency, and improve network reliability.Modify network architecture to enhance redundancy and achieve near-zero downtime.Data Center OperationsTroubleshoot routing and server-related network issues within the data center.Install and replace data center infrastructure as required to meet organizational needs.Upgrade access layer infrastructure and install Cisco UCS Blades for VMware environment expansion.Expand LAG groups on Cisco Nexus switches to increase chassis throughput and create VPC configurations for extended data center uptime.Systems SupportManage and resolve issues related to on-premises Microsoft Exchange 2016.Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).1–3 years of experience working in a network engineering or IT support role.Technical Skills:Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, ACLs, and wireless technologies.Experience with Cisco networking equipment (Nexus switches, UCS blades).Familiarity with VMware environment basics and Microsoft Exchange administration.Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements a plus.Soft Skills:Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Good documentation and communication skills.Certifications (Preferred):CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar entry-level networking certification.
