Your mission will be to strategically assess which potential clients could make excellent Pattern partners - auditing prospective partner performance across Marketplaces in Asia, understanding the market growth opportunity through onducting market research, leveraging marketplace data, and providing commercial forecasting to estimate growth potential. Working closely with the global Sales team, you will also be interacting with colleagues all over the world including EMEA, APAC and the Middle East. This is a full-time role based in Lehi, Utah at Pattern’s HQ.What is a day in the life of a Senior eCommerce Sales Engineer?The Senior eCommerce Sales Engineer supports the sales team inAcquiring new brand partners through identifying high potential accountsBuilding data-driven, compelling business cases that engage brands and set the right expectations that Pattern can deliver onWorking across sales, ads, data science, brand management, finance, and other teams to drive strategies that assist in closing new brand partnersBeing the subject matter expert on Tmall and and other Chinese marketplaces and Pattern capabilities such that Account Executives always want you on calls to drive confidence in Pattern expertise & Pattern’s ability to grow their brandSupporting a smooth transition from sales to brand managementProactively coordinate with various stakeholders (domestically & internationally) to prioritize projectsPresent business cases to potential new brand partners (executive teams)Serve as an expert on all things eCommerce and have a deep understanding the Asia marketplace opportunities & how effectively the brand can perform in each marketWhat will I need to thrive in this role?Minimum of 3-5 years experience in eCommerce – preferably working in eCommerce at a brand or working for a marketplace (e.g.TMall, Amazon, etc.) on the brand mgmt side (i.e. 1P)Fluency in Mandarin. Ability to read and translate backend data from Chinese marketplaces.Deep understanding of Chinese ecommerce marketplaces and how to do business in ChinaStrong knowledge of selling strategies in China including cross-border vs domestic shipping, and typical promotional mechanicsUnderstands key success metrics for a brand in a China eCommerce environmentTranslates data into insights and effectively communicate them with senior stakeholdersAnalytical - experienced with Excel/Google Sheets and building presentations to communicate with executives​​Communicates in a clear, concise manner and can tailor messaging to the audience (e.g. exec level vs. mid-level mgmt level)Prioritizes daily activities to ensure materials are prepped for highest priority potential accounts and Account Executives are prepped with insightsUnderstands the context and pain points of various accounts to tailor messaging, decks, etc. to meet those needsWorks efficiently cross-functionally and internationally; builds relationships and leverages expertise of various departments to build better business cases and/or reinforce Pattern capabilitiesHas a solid grasp on industry stats/Pattern proof points and process qualitative/quantitative data to create value for potential partners and stays up-to-speed on industry trends and Pattern capabilities to drive value for brandsWhat does high performance look like?You follow through with all assignments in a timely mannerYou give 100% to all tasks and projects you are givenYou actively comment and participate in group collaborationsYou will take full ownership of your projects and follow through to completionYou proactively identify areas of opportunity and work cross functionally to execute on themWhat is the team like?You will work with the other full-time Revenue Operations team members and Sales & Marketing leadership as well as be supervised by the Head of Revenue Operations.
