- Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. We will do our best to accommodate course schedules.
- Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from Salt Lake City, Utah.

- Submit a cover letter that highlights your passion for NBCUniversal, the locations (listed below) you are open to for internships, and your top areas of interest (opportunities listed below).
- Participate in daily editorial process: planning, researching, newsgathering, logging, writing and editing.
- Learn editorial and technical aspects of news gathering.
- Shadow producers and assignment editors.
- Produce individual news stories for demo reels and online.
- Research view calls and tips and assist on the assignment desk.
- Create individual special project opportunities.
- Interns should have some experience in journalism, at least in the classroom, but preferably in a television newsroom setting.
- Schedule requirements: Interns should be willing to work a variety of shifts in order to get the best experience. Interns should be able to work at least two full weekdays.
- Learn to produce content for linear and multiplatform OTT/Fast Channel, web.
- Shadow and learn “line producing” and managing live remotes.
- Pitch, shoot, write, edit and report news and features for Multiplatform
- Produce daily newscasts, live special coverage, and other programs for multi platforms.
- Cut video from linear shows for use on websites, apps and social media
- Identify opportunities for graphics and data visualization
- Shadow digital editors, TV producers, assignment desk editors and other

- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2025 through April 2026). December 2025 graduates are not eligible for our 2025-2026 Academic Year Program.
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be bilingual in English/Spanish (written and verbal).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States throughout the entire duration of the internship (September 2025 to April 2026). Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week during internship.
- Must be willing to work in Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Previous internship experience or on-campus involvement
- Ability to work effectively in a high-intensity environment, often under tight deadline pressures.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong interest in and demonstrated knowledge of current affairs.
- Excellent computer skills (specially search skills).
