- Ensures that the school achieves its staff recruitment goals each year
- Develops and implements a staff recruitment plan that appropriately leverages the entire school team and school partners to ensure the school is fully staffed before the start of summer professional development and to maintain a stable staff throughout the school year
- Attend external events to recruit new staff members, such as the regional Teacher Recruitment Day and college career fairs.
- Work with local colleges, community partners and staff to identify opportunities to strategically broaden our talent pipeline (for example, by recruiting administrative interns, student teachers, and summer interns).
- Develop and maintain the school's talent tracking system that clarifies where each candidate is within the hiring process
- Job descriptions for all staff positions
- Midyear and end of year evaluation instruments for all staff positions
- The questions and rubrics that will be used throughout the interview process (for example, including during the initial interview, during the panel interview, during the performance task event and during the reference check process).

- Conducting initial phone screens
- Scheduling and facilitating panel interviews
- Scheduling and facilitating performance tasks
- Managing candidate communication throughout the interview process
- Trains and supports others to effectively participate in the talent selection process (for example, by training prospective interview team members prior to them participating in the process).
- Verifying that all proposed staff members have successfully completed the fingerprinting and criminal history background check process as required by New York state.
- Serving as an initial point of contact for Enterprise staff members who have questions regarding the policies contained in the employee handbook.
- Ensuring that all staff members are appropriately certified or are taking appropriate steps to become certified as required by the school's authorizer as well as state and federal law.
- Collaborating with the CEO to ensure that all employees have submitted all required new staff paperwork and that accurate personnel records are maintained for all employees.
- Ensures that all school staff members have an annual evaluation and that a copy of that evaluation is placed in their personnel file.
- Conducting quarterly staff culture surveys in partnership with the CEO and collaborating with the school leadership team to follow up on the results of those surveys.
- Conducting check ins with all new employees approximately 30 days after they begin working at Enterprise to ensure that they have been effectively onboarded to the school.
- Verifies that any staff members that are not on campus have appropriately inputted their PTO into the Swipeclock system, making changes as necessary
- Ensures that there is clear documentation for all opportunities to earn additional compensation, including the compensation rates for each opportunity, and that this information is shared publicly with staff
- Ensures that all staff members who request additional compensation for a specific activity (such as after school coaching) appropriately complete time sheets and have documentation that approves that additional compensation.
- Conducts any employment verification processes necessary, such as completing paperwork for current or prior employees who need to have their experience at the school documented. In addition, verifies the past employment of prospective employees to ensure that they are appropriately placed on our salary schedule.
- Ensuring timely and accurate submission of all required local, state, and federal reports in their designated areas of responsibility..
- Ensuring timely and accurate submission of all information and reports required by the school's authorizer and participating in meetings with the authorizer when requested.
- Ensuring that staff employment records are properly maintained at the school, including by following all requirements related to the confidentiality of personnel information.
- Placing regular posts on a variety of social media platforms to encourage prospective staff members and families to join the school community.
- Partner with outside printing firms to develop appropriately branded collateral for the school (such as school uniforms, talent recruitment fliers, ads to be placed in local newspapers, etc…).
Note: As the school works to fully update its operational model, this position will take on some additional responsibilities. Some of these responsibilities will be temporary responsibilities that will be assigned to other staff members over time. Some of these responsibilities may become a long-term part of this position.Some of these specific responsibilities include:
- Board meeting preparation. Sending calendar invites to Board members prior to each Board meeting; ensuring public notice is posted in the school's entryway prior to each Board meeting; sending pre-read materials to all Board members.
- Front office coverage. All operational employees need to be prepared to cover the front desk in the main office when necessary.
- All staff duties. In addition, all Enterprise employees commit to fulfilling certain responsibilities to build an inspirational school culture. For example, all staff members are required to attend parent teacher conferences and summer professional development sessions.

- Previous experience as a classroom teacher or operational leader that includes a history of demonstrating excellent service for students and staff, particularly in a school serving students from historically marginalized communities.

- Bachelor's required, Master's in related field preferred
