Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Med-Surg / Ortho-TraumaLocation:TennesseeAre you a skilled RN with recent acute care experience in Med-Surg or Ortho-Trauma? Our top-tier client is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to lead and support nursing operations during designated shifts. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in fast-paced environments, values teamwork, and is ready to take on a leadership role that directly impacts patient outcomes and staff engagement.Role OverviewAs Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will:
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating all unit functions during your shift
  • Support efficient patient throughput by assisting with admissions and discharges
  • Collaborate with management and subject matter experts to assess and improve care quality
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and service excellence
  • Lead service recovery efforts and promote a patient-first philosophy
  • Support nursing engagement strategies including hourly rounding and employee feedback
  • Provide input on hiring, training, and performance management
  • Assist with scheduling and labor management to meet patient care needs
  • Help manage inventory and ensure proper use of supplies and equipment
QualificationsTo be considered, candidates must meet the following:
  • Recent acute care experience in Med-Surg or Ortho-Trauma is required
  • Must currently be working in Med-Surg or have at least 2 years of recent staff RN experience in that setting
  • Prior charge nurse experience in acute care strongly preferred
  • RN diploma required; BSN preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
  • BLS and ACLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
  • CPI certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
  • Participation in professional organizations encouraged
