
Industrial Engineer II

- Conceptually develop block level designs and material flows end-to-end material handling solutions that integrate multiple technologies such as sortation conveyors, automated storage and retrieval systems, robotics, voice and light picking systems, and supporting structures
- Performs data collection and analysis to define design criteria. Experienced with SQL for organizing, shaping, and analyzing large data files.
- Works with Applications Engineering, Sales, and Customers to define system requirements and specifications
- Identifies applicable new technologies
- Works with vendors to develop complex turnkey subsystems such as unit sorters and automated storage and retrieval systems
- Develops labor requirements for proposed solutions using tools and techniques such as time study, MOST, and MTM.
- Uses economics analysis tools to determine return on investment for selected concepts
- Works with proposal documents, selected solution reports, bid specifications, descriptions of operations, and other plan documents
- Travels up to 20%
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Analytics/Statistics or related technical field or equivalent experience
- Experience in material handling industry, minimum of 3 years
- Experience in analytics, statistics, or simulation experience, minimum of 2 years
- Knowledge of material handling, including controls and software and material handling equipment technology
- Knowledge of process improvement processes and mathematical modeling of systems
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of systems engineering, analysis, and design.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, and SQL and knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.
- Knowledge of Engineered Time and Motion Systems (e.g., MOST and MTM)
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced results-oriented environment
