Join us to build the digital economy of tomorrow.Job DescriptionThe roleJoin Checkout.com's Global Events and Field Marketing Team as a Senior Events and Field Marketing Specialist. Lead the end-to-end management and execution of hosted and sponsored events to drive business growth for our North American commercial team. Collaborate with expert regional marketers to develop and implement a comprehensive account-based marketing strategy, encompassing events, field marketing activities, and global initiatives, like our annual merchant conference. Your attention to detail, planning skills, and data-driven mindset ensure events align seamlessly with strategic goals.How you'll make an impactAs the Senior Events and Field Marketing Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our field events. You'll cultivate strong relationships with commercial teams and collaborate cross-functionally. Your responsibilities encompass the entire event lifecycle including:
  • Develop and execute a cohesive regional event strategy, including the management of regional events, field marketing activities, and participation in major global initiatives, ensuring best-in-class execution and alignment with company goals.
  • Lead end-to-end event planning, including vetting, sourcing, budget management, and on-site execution, while coordinating with cross-functional teams for seamless event experiences.
  • Create audience acquisition plans grounded in data-driven insights to drive pipeline generation, using your excellent customer-centric proficiency to autonomously build audience targeting based on inputs (e.g., TAM, ICP, Personas).
  • Drive program success by managing key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting, data analysis, and providing comprehensive program performance summaries with actionable recommendations. Identify new ways of optimizing activity against the team's KPIs with minimal guidance.
  • Champion meticulous planning and management of events, optimizing processes for scalability and efficiency, and contribute to documentation of some processes
  • Tailor your approach based on the audience, to convey complex thoughts, upwardly manage, and steer multiple external parties
  • Demonstrate autonomy in project management, operating the delivery of slightly more complex programs/activities within the team with minimal guidance
QualificationsWhat we're looking for
  • Proven experience in a similar role (5+ years), preferably in payments, fintech, or related sectors, or within an event agency.
  • In this hands-on and high-impact role, you're a self-starter, passionate about data, and proactive in pursuing new ideas.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, juggling multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to establish relationships with stakeholders of all levels to drive excellent collaboration.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills with good attention to detail.
  • Operational proficiency in event management software, marketing automation, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot, Zoom, or other).
  • Willingness and ability to travel 20%-40% of the time for event management
