SMX is hiring a Strategic Operations Analyst to support the Product Office of an ACAT 1C program. This position will provide onsite support at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.The Strategic Operations Analyst is responsible for providing recommendations and insight to the Product Manager and Deputy Product Manager; coordinates efforts across Product Office functional leads supporting the formation and implementation of Integrated Planning Teams; and oversight of recurring reports, taskings, and requests for information related to operational activities.In this role, you will access classified and unclassified information networks to provide comprehensive analysis, coordination, and collaboration within the functional staff. The Strategic Operations Analyst will also support military and civilian Assistant Product Managers with operational analysis and coordination of efforts for both US and FMS partners, including global combatant command agencies.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the preparation of recurring reports and develop stand alone briefing products to accurately and precisely convey Product Office information to higher level decision makers
  • Manage Staff Action Control Office taskings and responses for the Product Office, ensuring comprehensive and timely responses
  • Coordinate the formation of Integrated Planning Teams to achieve specific goals in support of functional leads; coordinate and collaborate with other Product Offices as required
  • Provide recommendations and advice on production management, schedule, and cost
  • Facilitate vertical and horizontal communications through excellent oral and written products
Required Skills & Experience
  • Clearance Required: Secret
  • A bachelor's degree or higher is required
  • 10+ years working in Department of Defense Acquisition-related areas
  • Experience leading and/or working on an Integrated Planning Team
  • Experience working on an Army staff
  • Experience commensurate with Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Ability to think critically and manage multiple activities at the strategic, operational, and tactical level
  • Expertise in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications; working knowledge of MS Project
  • Must be comfortable briefing and engaging with senior military officers and senior executive service civilians; a proactive, self-starter who can work as an effective team member in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment; adept at conflict resolution
  • Teammate will work on site in a government office; infrequent travel may be required
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience/expertise in Missile Defense and/or Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems and operations
  • DAWIA Level III certification in Program Management, Contracts, Business, or related field
  • Experience leading an Army Product Office
  • Working knowledge of Project Management Resource Tools Enterprise Analytics (PMRT and CCaR)
