We are at the forefront of innovation in high-purity metals refining, wafer manufacturing, and precision equipment development, serving industries where quality and reliability are critical.Your day to day as a Technical Project ManagerWe are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead cross-functional projects in semiconductor wafer manufacturing, high-purity metals refining, and custom machine development. This role will bridge engineering, operations, and business objectives-ensuring multiple concurrent projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with our quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate will identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety requirements and prepare/maintain project status updates and performance metrics, providing executive summaries for management review.In addition to commercial manufacturing projects, this position will manage projects for government contracts and programs, including interactions with government agencies, compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivery of contract milestones to U.S. government and defense customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, preferably in mechanical, materials, or chemical engineering, combined with exceptional project leadership skills and experience managing sensitive, high-visibility projects for government stakeholders.Are you a good fit for this Technical Project Manager job?To excel as a Technical Project Manager at 5N Plus, a combination of education, experience, and specialized skills is essential.Knowledge and skills required for the position:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Materials Chemical or related field) or equivalent technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience managing technical or engineering projects in manufacturing or process industries
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMBOK Agile or similar)
  • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project Excel and other project tracking tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings process diagrams and equipment specifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing high-purity metals refining or custom equipment development
  • Proven experience managing U.S. government-funded projects or programs with direct stakeholder interaction
  • Familiarity with government contracting processes contract milestone tracking and compliance requirements
  • Understanding of ITAR/EAR export controls and related regulatory frameworks
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
  • Knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes for capital equipment
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment
