- Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment. This includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, facilitating monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required.
- Supports development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety system.
- Works with the Production Control Manager and Warehouse Supervisor (if applicable) to set priorities and ensure daily execution of production and distribution plans.
- Works with the plant Production Control Manager and Central Supply Planning to schedule production across all local resources / production lines/modules.
- Works with other departments to ensures all necessary raw materials (aluminum, graphics, inks, coatings, other direct materials) in place and available to meet production schedules.
- Assists in packaging management to ensure sufficient packaging is on hand to support production of finished goods.
- May provide support / coverage for the Order Fulfillment team and performs order entry/changes, as needed.
- Assists in outbound direct customer shipments. Works with warehouse management / personnel and suppliers to ensure that outbound shipments are executed to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Inventories and arranges/forecasts shipments of scrap.
- May assist with graphics on all products for customers as possible back up
- Coordinate production planning related to specific customer segments that require special administrative handling (ie Cash in Advance). Works with other Ball entities, as required.
- Maintains all local data requirements in the ERP and planning tools to ensure timely production. Also responsible for data reporting to division..
- Initiates, reviews, masters, and follows all manuals, policies, procedures and work instructions for area of responsibility.
- Broad training in a related field usually acquired through high school or work-related experience
- Job related experience for 2 year(s) minimum
- Ability to apply independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard plant production techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
- Ability to operate and functionally use a computer.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills.
- Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
- Working knowledge of the following areas: - business principles - legal practices - customer needs and requirements - production control principles and practices - company manufacturing products, practices, nomenclature, and procedures
- Must follow company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct as outlined in the Ball Corporation manuals.
- Works in both office and manufacturing environments.
- This position is exposed to occupational hazards, including but not limited to, high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc.
- Must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices.
- Hiring Salary Range: $58,400 - $81,560 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
