The AV Labeling team within Ubers AI & Data Solutions org partners with leading autonomous vehicle companies to deliver high-quality labeled data that powers the development of self-driving technology. After years of supporting internal ML teams at Uber, this startup-style initiative was launched to bring our expertise in AV labeling, operations, and tooling to external customers.
We're looking for an exceptional operations analyst to help us scale. You will act as the right hand to the Program Manager, helping to launch pilot projects, streamline processes, and drive execution across engineering, product, and operations. If you're a self-starter who thrives in fast-moving environments and loves solving ambiguous operational challenges, this role is for you.Key Responsibilities:Run pilots: Support setup and execution of early-stage projects, coordinate with engineering and product to deliver customer results fast.Create SOPs: Document pilot workflows and turn successful experiments into scalable processes.Drive operational rigor: Identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and help implement faster, better labeling processes.Support scale:Track and manage day-to-day operations, especially as projects move into production.Tool evaluation: Help assess in-house and external Lidar tooling (e.g., Deepen, Kognic, Segments.ai); make feature recommendations.QA & quality ops: Certify outputs, investigate labeling trends, and flag quality issues.Data analysis: Create reports on task throughput, quality metrics, and issue tracking.Internal coordination: Help align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Ops, and Customer teams.Customer-first execution: Think like the customer; anticipate blockers and move fast to solve them.REQUIREMENTS:2-4 years in operations, analytics, program coordination, or equivalentComfortable in ambiguity. Thrives in a scrappy, startup-like environmentHighly self-directed: able to figure out next steps and take initiative without a playbookProcess-minded: able to bring structure to messy or undefined workflowsDetail-oriented: great at catching inconsistencies and following through on edge casesExcellent communicator and cross-functional collaboratorIntermediate Excel / Sheets skillsPREFERRED SKILLS:Familiarity with lidar, 3D perception, or AV labeling workflowsExperience in tools like Deepen, Segments.ai, or similarProject management experienceYou'll help track task progress, triage blockers with global stakeholders, support quality reviews, organize SOPs, and keep pilot workflows running smoothly. Youll act as a bridge between program managers and global labeling teams.
