As a Business Intelligence Engineer on the team, you will work closely with cross-functional counterparts in engineering, product management, and marketing to drive strategic decisions with data and set up reporting capabilities for our international video streaming service. Key responsibilities include: Establish goals, plans, and related metrics; track progress; and manage through obstacles to achieve program objectives Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture. Define the structure of our reporting mechanisms and dashboards for key metrics to illustrate and communicate organizationally on the progress against goals Utilize database and reporting technologies, including SQL, ETL, Redshift, Quicksight, Tableau etc. to design and develop impactful analyses and reporting. Manage and execute the full development life cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation and testing, to documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 8+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data miningPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions

The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market.
