Position Summary: Perform intermediate and finish slitting operations which include setup, calculating, measuring, weighing, and recording activities to finish slit stock to specifications.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Set up cutters to slit materials to finish width based on order specifications
Working from routing orders, forms, specification and verbal and written instructions from supervisor. * Utilize various hand tools, finish slitter machines, micrometers, calculators, and related tools.
  • Maintain necessary records and move materials.
  • Follow established company and department rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment.
  • Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents
and near misses.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Able to lift 25+ pounds multiple times throughout shift.
  • Previous slitting and precious metals experience is preferred.
  • Able to stand, walk and reach throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Able to read, write and speak English.
  • Good math skills.
  • Must follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.
