Our client is seeking a strategic and people-first Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager to join their leadership team and play a key role in transforming credit, collections, and AR operations across a multi-entity structure. Position offers growth potential into an AR Director role within five years!About the RoleYou’ll oversee the company’s full AR function, balancing big-picture strategy with direct team leadership. This includes guiding a 5-person team split across Oregon and California, leading process improvements, and working cross-functionally with operations, sales, and customer service to drive a streamlined AR experience.1 x a month travel to Modesto, CA is required, as half the AR team is based there.Why You’ll Love This Role

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and develop the AR team
  • Improve processes to reduce aging balances and improve collection outcomes
  • Oversee credit risk policies and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Resolve disputes and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Own financial reporting for the AR function, including month-end close
  • Collaborate across departments on billing, setup, and dispute resolution
  • Stay current on best practices and regulatory changes in AR and collections
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive AR or credit/collections experience with at least 2 years leading a team
  • Track record of process improvement and AR systems optimization
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working with ERP/accounting platforms
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Modesto weekly
