- Completion of a BS in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline (an advanced degree may be substituted for related experience)
- At least 5 years of directly related experience
- Good knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
- Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.

- Supervision / Leadership experience; Project Engineering or Project Management experience.
- Familiarity with plants systems design and thermal-hydraulic analyses, including experience with software such as ANSYS-Fluent, AFT Fathom, RELAP5.
- Nuclear Industry experience and/or previous utility plant experience, including familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, supporting NRC RAIs, relief requests, or related submittals, and working with the government (e.g., DOE and DOD).
