- Performs MRI procedures as defined by departmental protocols
- Performs duties in RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems and accurately enter patient data.
- Completes transmission of optimum quality images to PACS system
- Ensures adequate history of patient is obtained and documented
- Performs QC and is able to digitize films
- Provides superior customer service to patients, family members, and all members of the health care team
- Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
- Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to [neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients], including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.
- Completion of ARRT registry required. (Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist who is recruited and non-certified in MRI will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam).
- Completion of a 2 year associates degree program in Radiology.
- 2 years’ experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
