Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien.We are currently hiring for multiple (8) openings with an expected start date of February 2nd, 2026.Reporting to the Production Supervisors, Chemical Operators are responsible for monitoring and safe, reliable operation of plant equipment and processes.What you will do:
  • Operate plant equipment and associated systems
  • Monitor the process operation and equipment by making routine rounds to check equipment, taking process data readings, obtaining samples of various process streams, and performing basic laboratory analyses
  • Respond to and appropriately address process and equipment upsets
  • Identify operating problems and recommend actions to resolve any deficiencies in rate, quality, mechanical, or safe operation of plant and equipment
  • Use computers for job functions and training
  • Assist with startup, shut down, and operation of processes and equipment
  • Maintain a clean work environment free from hazards
  • Work a rotating 12-hour shift with overtime as needed (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Climb stairs or ladders
What you will bring:
  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Must pass a series of tests including mechanical aptitude, mathematics and reading comprehension through Ohio Means Jobs
  • Experience troubleshooting and finding solution
Union pay range starts at $34/hour and has growth potential up to $54/hour.Ready to make an impact with us?
