
Learning and Development Specialist

- Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to create and design instructor-led training sessions as well as learning content for the learning management system (LMS)
- Produce digital media (video, audio, photo, graphic design, etc.) for assigned projects
- Attend corporate meetings, training, and events to capture photographs and video recordings
- Facilitate instructor-led training throughout the organization.
- Work with the HRIS learning management system administrator in the management of the LMS, including troubleshooting LMS issues, maintaining data integrity and security and keeping assignments and reports current
- Research, write, and/or edit training materials for new concepts
- Meet regularly with division managers to assess training needs regarding changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies and develop the training materials requested
- Coordinate logistics for vendor and internal training including and not limited to scheduling conference rooms, having materials prepared, checking technical specs, etc.
- Proactively review and update previously created training materials to ensure they are current and meet the needs of internal clients
- Use LMS reporting features to analyze training attendance and success and communicate information to management.

- Bachelor’s degree in education, communication, journalism, graphic design, multimedia, or related field OR 4 years of previous work experience in related field(s)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience facilitating instructor-led training or delivering instruction
- Experience designing and developing training programs or materials
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline
- Experience with video/audio equipment, graphics, web production and editing tools including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to act independently to achieve needed results
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn and implement new and complex ideas, relay those concepts to others, and apply appropriately
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines, coordinating with project teams and stakeholders
- Occasional travel within the state or region may be required for this position. Some overnight stays may be necessary
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Experience using or administering a Learning Management System (LMS)
- Strong eye for visual and professional appeal, imparting creativity to build engaging courseware
- Experience in both Mac/PC environments
- Navigates ambiguity and changing priorities successfully
