Job Number: R0092993 Systems Engineer, Senior
The Challenge: Everyone knows security needs to be "baked in" to a system architecture, but do you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your Cyber engineering and architecture skills to design and build secure systems for the DoD? We're looking for a Cybersecurity professional who can create solutions for our DoD clients that will stand up to even the most advanced Cyber threats. As an engineer focused on security on our project, you'll support our DoD clients in analyzing user's requirements, the concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to validate and test system requirements. Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, conduct feasibility studies, and provide technical leadership to integrate requirements, design, and technology. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations, develop technical documentation, and develop system architecture and system design documentation. Guide system development and implementation planning through the assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interact with the government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Maintain responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the systems engineering area of responsibility. Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Join our team as we improve DoD's security posture. You Have: * 7+ years of experience as a system engineer * 2+ years of experience with key management architecture * Experience with providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware or software systems * Experience with developing scenarios or threads and an operational concept that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment * Experience with establishing a process to formally and proactively control and manage changes to the system, consider impacts to change, gain stakeholder buy-in, eliminate ambiguity, ensure traceability to source requirements, and track and settle open defects * Ability to define the methods, processes, and evaluation criteria by which the systems, subsystems, and work products are verified against their requirements in a written plan * Ability to set-up, configure, maintain, and operate key management systems in a lab environment * TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph * BS degree in System Engineering, CS, Information Systems, Engineering Science, EE, or Engineering Management or 12 years of experience in systems engineering roles in lieu of a degree Nice If You Have: * Experience with Key Management, Legacy and Modernized Key Management Solutions * Experience with debugging and modifying existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware or improve its performance * Experience with Satellite Communications * Experience with Agile Development and Test Methodology * Ability to gather requirements from project teams and determine priorities * Ability to travel locally and CONUS 10% of the time. Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. We're an EOE that empowers our people-no matter their race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristic-to fearlessly drive change.
