Job CategoryHuman Resources GroupStore Number or Department900010 Corporate 1 MNJob DescriptionAs the Employee Relations (ER) Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing centralized ER support through advising and conducting workplace investigations on behalf of the enterprise. While conducting workplace investigations, you will engage with business leaders, Human Resources (HR), Legal and other key stakeholders to make recommendations on outcomes.This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.What you'll do
  • Lead all phases of complex, high-risk investigations with significant legal or enterprise risk; deliver fair, thorough findings and actionable recommendations to mitigate risk.
  • Prepare and present clear, compelling executive summaries and updates to leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional teams, responding to questions and influencing decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Ethics, Compliance, and business leaders to address complex employee relations issues, ensure consistent practices, and drive positive cultural and business outcomes.
  • Analyze case data and trends to identify root causes of workplace issues; develop and implement proactive strategies, training, and tools to reduce risk and enhance engagement.
  • Provide real-time, onsite, or urgent support for high-risk situations, including labor relations concerns or third-party representation requests, while coaching leaders and HR partners to build ER acumen.
Basic qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or an investigative environment
  • 5 years of proven leadership experience (i.e., influence, confidentiality, communication and conflict resolution)
Preferred qualifications
  • Previous experience applying ER principles, knowing and understanding employment laws and their applications
  • Demonstrating the ability to incorporate new practices into enterprise change initiative experiences
