Nature of WorkEmployment Programs Office Manager 2 - Hardy CountyAt WorkForce WV this position is in the South Branch Field Operations unit. This position plans, directs, and supervises the activities of the Moorefield local office. Collaborates effectively with staff, co-workers, employers and partner agencies. Acts as a responsible steward of public trust and credible representative of the organization. Assists in finding solutions to customer problems and applies critical thinking when solving problems. Deals with complex and ambiguous issues with poise and tact. Follows all applicable law, rule, and policy related to workplace and physical safety for staff and customers. Maintains an adaptive mind set to improve work processes to increase productivity and performance. Communicates effectively with staff, co-workers, employers and partner agencies. Demonstrates the ability to learn and adapt to a changing environment. Open to being coached and actively seeks out and apply feedback. Dependable and demonstrates initiative and self-direction in completion of work. Adheres to the law, rule, and policies of the agency. Maintains a safe environment for staff development through encouragement and accountability. Experience: Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a responsible professional or technical capacity in one or more of the following fields: public administration, industrial, personnel or business management, employment security, labor or industrial relations two years of which must have been in a responsible supervisory capacity.Substitution: Master's degree in one of the above fields from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the non-supervisory experience.
