This engineer will be responsible for providing R&M support to new development programs, including reliability and maintainability predictions and analyses, testability analyses, maintainability demonstrations, and highly accelerated stress testing.This individual will work in a hybrid setting, the location will be in one of the following Collins Aerospace sites: Colorado Springs CO or Cedar Rapids IAWhat YOU Will DoConducts aerospace Reliability and Maintainability analysisSupports R&M Program Plan Reliability Predictions following MIL-HDBK-217 and/or 217PLUS reliability prediction standardsConducts Failure Modes and Effects (FMEA) / Criticality Analysis (CA) Planning and conducting reliability testing, including Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT), Reliability Enhancement Test (RET), Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) or Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS)Runs Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), including root cause analysis Maintainability analysis and predictions Built-In Test (BIT) design/verification analysis BIT / Maintainability DemonstrationAnalyzes and predict the reliability of military systems and equipment by identifying potential failure modesConducts root cause analysis and implementing design improvements to ensure mission success by maximizing system uptime and minimizing failures throughout the lifecycleAdheres to strict customer driven reliability standards and guidelinesReduces cost and schedule risks by preventing or identifying R&M deficiencies early in development. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
