- Participates in program activities under the supervision of the Teacher, Program Coordinator or Director.
- Promotes a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes child learning, self-awareness, growing independence and self-confidence as evidence by feedback from clients, families and Advisory Board.
- Provides appropriate interventions to assist children in controlling impulsive behaviors and to encourage the development of appropriate social skills.
- Works effectively and cooperatively with other team members.
- Communicates with the Teacher to provide information and offer suggestions about children’s health, behavior and development.
- Demonstrates consistent and effective customer service skills which support program goals.
- Assists in the meal program.
- Assists the Teacher in preparing lesson plans and with providing required materials for learning activities.
- Demonstrates adequate knowledge base about age and disability group served as determined by education, training, observation, supervision, etc..
- Is judged competent in skills with age and disability groups served. Skill competence is determined by chart reviews, observation and supervision.
