
General Maintenance Technician

- Frame metal stud or wood framed walls and ceilings. Hang and Finish Drywall in preparation for finishes. Install wood and hollow metal frames and doors, including associated hardware including locks, closers, and panic devices.
- Completes general building repairs, including repair and painting of walls, doors, floors, etc. Completes repairs to plumbing system including fixing leaks and stoppages, repairs or replacement of sinks, piping, valves or drains and toilets
- Replaces lighting components, ceiling tiles, and grid throughout the buildings and offices. Include minor electrical repairs.
- Install wood trim including base, crown molding, chair rail, and door trim.
- Assemble and install specialty items such as lockers, benches, toilet accessories and partitions.
- Maintains doors and door hardware, repairing or replacing if necessary.
- Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.
- Communicates directly with the customer and manager in assuring that all aspects of a work request are understood that parts must be ordered, or that requested completion date will be delayed for any reason not discovered during the conversion of the work request into a work order.
- Repair and replace carpet tile & rubber base if necessary
- HS Diploma or GED
- 4 – 6 years related experience
- Must possess a valid driver license
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic addition and subtraction required for measuring and cutting materials to be incorporated into finished work.
- Ability to work and communicate professionally in occupied space environments with a variety of customers.
