- Install, maintain, and remove large-scale seasonal lighting displays and themed décor across resort grounds, rooftops, and trees.
- Handle electrical wiring, power distribution, and weatherproofing of holiday installations.
- Work from ladders, lifts, and rooftops to safely execute high-quality lighting layouts and visual displays.
- Assist with setup and teardown of lighting and audio elements for pre-programmed nighttime shows and activations.
- Install and troubleshoot moving lights, DMX-controlled fixtures, and basic sound equipment.
- Collaborate with third party A/V teams to ensure seamless integration of décor and entertainment elements.
- Troubleshoot lighting failures or circuit issues, replacing lamps or cables as needed.
- Operate hand and power tools, lifts, and specialty equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all resort, OSHA, and event safety procedures—especially when working at heights or with power.
- Previous experience in Christmas light installation or related field.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with basic electrical systems.
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Patience and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Knowledge of DMX, lighting consoles, or live event production workflows.
- Familiarity with lighting and sound in an entertainment or theatrical setting.
- A background in technical theater, event production, theme parks, or live shows.
- Knowledge of holiday lighting controllers and protocols such as but not limited to LOR, XLights, and WS2811.
