$130,000 plus, depending on skill level and experiencePlant Controller Objective:Serve as the lead finance and accounting professional at the site, supporting site management with financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and strategic guidance. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, delivering timely analytics, and aligning with corporate and site objectives. Independence and strong communication are essential.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead all Controllership functions for a plant located in the Salt Lake County area.
- Partner with site leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare monthly/annual financial reports and forecasts in coordination with site and division leaders.
- Develop and manage budgets, including financials, capital expenditures, and headcount.
- Analyze financial metrics (revenues, margins, costs, variances) to support profitability and compliance with corporate policies.
- Oversee ERP inventory module implementation and manage inventory analysis/reserves.
- Establish labor and overhead standards.
- Perform full-cycle month-end close and reporting.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Promote and ensure compliance with all of our clients' safety standards.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of manufacturing finance experience, including 3 years as a Controller.
- CPA, MBA, CMA, or CPIM preferred.
- Strong ERP and data analysis skills; ERP implementation experience a plus.
- Experience with medical device manufacturing, complex BOMs, and inventory transactions is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, time management, and leadership skills.
- Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and able to work independently or in teams.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, especially cost accounting.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook; IQMS and Cognos experience is a plus.
