- Assist Professional Engineers, Engineers-In-Training, and Bridge Inspectors around the U.S. with in-service bridge inspection and bridge assessment/evaluation projects.
- Responsible for taking accurate measures, photos and documenting conditions found in the field.
- Data entry and report preparation of conditions found in the field.
- Review of load ratings of bridges and culverts.
- Prepare drawings, sketches and schematics in MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- A current Junior or Senior level Civil Engineering student at an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree program with structural focus and strong academic standing.
- Passion for structures, love of bridges a plus.
- Desire to work outside regardless of weather conditions.
- Ability and desire to climb bridge structures and work at height.
- Ability to withstand high levels of physical exertion including walking, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 30 lbs. of equipment.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 40%) throughout the U.S.
- A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history is a must.
- Microsoft Office and AutoCAD and/or MicroStation proficiency required; AASHTOWare BrM experience a plus.
