Job SummaryThe Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily on-site panel installation activities. This role ensures crews are working safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. The Foreman serves as the direct leader for field teams, bridging communication between installers, superintendents, and project managers. A successful candidate demonstrates strong leadership, technical expertise, and a hands-on approach to delivering high-quality results.Key Responsibilities1. Crew & Installation LeadershipSupervise and direct installation crews to ensure work is performed to specification, on time, and within safety standards.Review shop drawings, installation details, and daily tasks with the crew.Provide hands-on support in installation when needed.2. Site SafetyConduct daily safety briefings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.Ensure all crew members use proper PPE and follow safe work practices.Identify and immediately address unsafe conditions on site.Maintain accurate safety records and report incidents to the Superintendent.3. Quality ControlInspect installations to confirm compliance with drawings, manufacturer standards, and company quality expectations.Identify issues proactively and coordinate corrections with the Superintendent or Project Manager.Ensure punch list items are completed in a timely manner.4. Coordination & CommunicationCommunicate daily with the Superintendent and Project Manager regarding crew performance, material needs, and site progress.Verify field measurements and communicate discrepancies.Assist with scheduling deliveries, equipment, and manpower needs.5. Documentation & ReportingMaintain daily work logs, attendance, and safety reports.Submit photos, progress updates, and field notes as required.Ensure accurate reporting of time, materials, and change orders.6. Leadership & TrainingLead with integrity and foster a positive, productive environment.Mentor crew members to develop skills and increase efficiency.Hold team members accountable for attendance, productivity, and safety.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational or trade certification preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, panel installation, or similar trade.Prior supervisory or lead installer experience strongly preferred.Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of construction and panel installation methods.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.Proficient in using construction tools, equipment, and lifts (boom/scissor lifts, forklifts, swing stages, etc.).Strong communication and leadership skills.Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.Proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and adaptable to new software (Procore experience a plus).Ability to organize, schedule, and run crews effectively.
