- You will develop programming documents and direct the preparation of plans and specifications for new construction, alteration, maintenanace and repair of various base/installation facility projects.
- You will analyze and evaluate work order requests for repair, maintenance and construction submitted by base/installation agencies and tenants.
- You will track all programmed work in every base/installation facility to assure compliance with project and statutory cost limits.
- You will make on-site visit to obtain information on facility/site conditions and location prior to initiating a contract project, and visits during construction to check progress, verify contractor compliance with plans and specifications.
- You will monitor projects from start to finish and serve as the contract inspector and technical representative for the contracting office on all base/installation facility projects.
- You will assist in the development of a business case analysis used to identify a proper course of action from among a number of alternatives.
- You will compile previous data, analyses, and calculations and assists in the presentation of data to support the selected course of action.
- You will provide detailed briefings to higher headquarters as well as to base/installation approval boards and panels on facility construction and maintenance.
- You will be responsible for the preparation of comprehensive construction cost estimates for the construction of complex construction facilities and projects.
- You will review cost estimates prepared by architectural-engineering firms under contract to the organization.
- You will plan and develop final specifications covering complete and complex projects such as flood walls, flood control structures, and pumping stations involving numerous features.
- You will Independently plan and develop final specifications covering complete and complex projects such as items of work, e.g., foundation preparation, material placement, of concrete construction.
- You will validate and provide oversight for Facility asset conditions and Real Property inventory accuracies, accurate inventories will be required for oversight and execution of proper maintenance programs and assigned funding levels.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
