- *** is looking for a talented Systems Engineer Senior to provide technical systems support, managing/troubleshooting, identifying, and upcoming technology needs like cloud migration etc.

- Qualified systems engineers will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
- Provide L2 and L3 level support
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Create Tufin requests
- Provide hands-on support for existing environments to include performance of the following related tasks: software installation, upgrades, query writing, configuration, security, system monitoring and tuning, disaster recovery planning, and release deployments
- Automate and evolve deployment strategies and testing to support a quick turnaround of deployments
- Work closely with Engineering to ensure all relevant KPI's are implemented within the monitoring framework
- Participate in all Production Support activities during incidents and outages. Hands-on technical resource capable of resolving technical issues and making recommendations for application performance and capacity improvements
- Participate in capacity planning, tuning systems stability, provisioning, performance, and scaling of the application infrastructure
- The desire to resolve issues for a 24x7 environment in a non-impacting yet fast-paced resolve time
- Create and maintain technical support documentation
- 5+ years of IT experience in a technical application production support role or equivalent in a Linux or Windows environment
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
- 5+ years of experience with load balancers, routers, packet capture, capturing thread dump and analysis
- Strong knowledge and experience in certificates, TLS, SSL
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows and Linux based environments.
- Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g.,IIS, Weblogic, Apache)
- • Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware)
- Experience with monitoring systems like Dynatrace, Splunk, ExtraHop
- Experience with software deployment methods for applications, patches, and operating systems.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
- Cloud knowledge and/or experience, preferably in AWS
- Must have experience with or familiarity with software and security architectures.
- Experience that would be great to have:
- .NET programming experience
- Linux and Windows system administration - ability to manage and troubleshoot Linux systems and services, bash scripting
- Networking: understanding of routing and networking concepts
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Collaboration platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, ServiceNow
