Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to support daily quality engineering activities and assist the Quality Manager. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining IATF certification, managing APQP and PPAP activities, creating PFMEA, Control Plans, and providing instructions for parts checking and gauging. Additionally, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for training company personnel on Quality Management System (QMS) requirements within the Quality Department.Responsibilities
- Collaborate with vendor and customer quality departments to coordinate inspection techniques and associated instructions.
- Resolve vendor issues by completing vendor complaints and working closely with the Purchasing department.
- Update all QMS Operating Procedures and associated documents to align with IATF standards.
- Address customer and supplier complaints by completing Quality Alert forms and working with team members to find resolutions.
- Ensure all prints, process sheets, inspection sheets, and other documents are accurate and reflect the most recent revision levels.
- Develop and prepare Control Plans, PFMEAs, and Part Checking Instructions using Plex software.
- Provide training to inspectors and operators on Control Plan checks and proper use of gauges.
- Proficiency in quality engineering and quality assurance practices.
- Strong skills in root cause analysis.
- Experience with IATF and ISO 9001 standards.
- Familiarity with APQP and PPAP processes.
- IATF certification is required.
- Automotive industry experience.
- 3-5 years of prior experience as a Quality Engineer.
- Experience in an IATF certified facility.
- Fluent in MS Office Suite.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering is preferred.
- Experience working in an automotive environment is advantageous.
- Prior experience with Plex software is a plus.
