– AtlantaDirect Counsel is representing an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a highly motivated Patent Agent to join its Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group on the Mechanical Engineering Team in Atlanta, Georgia .Key Responsibilities:Draft and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications in the mechanical artsConduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and due diligence analysesAssist with patent litigation and post-grant proceedingsCollaborate with attorneys, inventors, and clients to develop and implement effective patent strategiesRequired Qualifications:3+ years of patent prosecution experience , including application draftingBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related fieldUSPTO registrationExcellent academic credentialsStrong writing, research, and communication skillsProven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team settingPreferred Qualifications:Experience with other forms of intellectual property (e.g., trademarks, copyrights, licensing)International patent prosecution experienceIP litigation support experienceCompensation:The national average salary range for this Patent Agent role is $99,600 – $145,800 .
