Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical infrastructure. Ensure that all work performed within the space is done to high quality and without impact to internal/external customers
- Manage the performance of 24x7 engineering technicians and facility Managers in all aspects of their career development
- Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion
- Ensure staffing is maintained and grow with expansions
- Be actively involved in ongoing construction activities
- Coordinate daily with third party vendors ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs
- Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures
This position will be responsible for the oversight of multiple facilities within a single AWS Region.About the team

- 5+ yrs of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports preferably managing other managers.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ yrs of experience working in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation.
- Advanced understanding of equipment life cycle management.
- Experience managing operational and capital budgets.
- Experience and proven track record developing staffing models, hiring for high performing teams and developing leadership within their organization.

The base pay for this position ranges from $98,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
