
Water Works Swim Instructor

- Instruct participants with varying swimming abilities on proper swimming techniques and strokes according to YMCA Swim Curriculum.
- Create and deliver lesson plans that consider participants’ swimming abilities and progressive development.
- Continuously track and evaluate participants’ swimming performance and adjusting lesson plan accordingly.
- Provide feedback to participants to facilitate improvement, refine abilities and prevent injury.
- Set up facility or equipment, and stores equipment upon completion of class. Immediately notifies supervisor of any broken equipment or unsafe aspects of the pool.
- Prevent accidents and injuries by monitoring students during swim sessions.
- Acts as a primary responder in case of injury, accident, or illness in pool area and provides backup to lifeguards as needed in emergencies and crowd control.
- Report injuries and complete incident forms.
- Maintain job-related certifications and attend training as required.

- At least 3 years of aquatics experience
