- Install various parts and assemblies such as landing gear, aircraft control surfaces, exterior panels, carpets, blankets, roller trays/ball mats, stowbins, sidewalls, ceiling panels, lavatories, galleys, doors, and seats.
- Install various aircraft system components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts.
- Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers.
- 3-7 Years of aviation maintenance experience - $32.50/Hour (1 year contract)
- 7+ Years of aviation maintenance experience - $38/Hour (1 year contract)
- Contract extensions and permanent conversions are very common but not guaranteed
- Aircraft mechanics perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, electrical equipment and accessories using manual operations.
- Aircraft mechanics will be required to attend and pass a training classes. Failure of training may be cause for assignment termination. 9 to 10 weeks training required
- 3+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
- Aircraft maintenance experience includes structures, systems, electrical, interiors
- Aircraft mechanics must be able to work any shift assigned
- Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
- Carry/Lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
