- Able to help get Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- 2 year AAS degree in Diesel Technology or 4+ years of training and experience in working on heavy trucks
- Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites
- Valid Driver's License Class D
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities
- Analyzes operation of systems and components of heavy trucks and trailers to determine performance using engineering specifications and test equipment.
- Inspects mechanical and electrical systems, diagnoses and repairs systems.
- Disassembles systems, examines parts for defects and excessive wear.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts, adjusts settings and reassembles according to specifications.
- Operates electronic testing equipment, precision instruments and gauges, hand tools, portable power tools, welding and cutting equipment and cranes and hoists.
- Welds and fabricates parts as needed.
- Performs other tasks as needed.
