Rate or rates of pay: $1,020 per credit for undergraduate courses; $1,112 per credit for undergraduate courses after 40 credits are taught within a five-year period; $1,352 per credit for graduate courses. Any future updates to per credit rates of pay will be reflected within the electronic contract.Position DescriptionThe College of St. Scholastica invites applications for an adjunct mathematics instructor. The department has 2 full-time mathematics faculty as well as additional faculty in chemistry and physics. The department is welcoming of adjunct faculty and happy to have them involved in departmental activities if desired by the adjunct.The successful applicant will teach lower-division math courses, with a particular focus on math courses for non-math majors, including elementary education majors. Courses are either taught in-person in Duluth, MN or online. The department’s adjunct teaching needs vary each term based on enrollment – but likely will be between 1-3 courses each semester.The individual hired will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching.
