Responsible for the overall management of consulting services and projects, ensuring strong performance and profitability. This includes leading a team of engineers and technicians, evaluating and guiding their performance, and supporting their professional development. Supervise the preparation of routine client proposals and quotations, ensuring accurate service scoping, manpower allocation, and pricing. Oversee all profit and loss responsibilities and lead business development efforts-from identifying and pursuing new projects to developing scopes of work, preparing proposals, and cultivating opportunities with both new and existing clients. Collaborate with the marketing team on RFP and RFQ responses, contributing technical content for submittals. Maintain responsibility for departmental safety and play an active role in overall office safety leadership. Ensure testing, engineering, and inspection work across the office, lab, and field is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Work closely with clients to maintain satisfaction and generate ongoing project opportunities. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of reports, proposals, inspections, and deliverables, while upholding company administrative policies.Job RequirementsA bachelor"s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required, along with at least six years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Construction Materials Testing (CMT) requirements and geotechnical engineering, and must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Candidates should be computer literate and possess both management and financial skills. The role requires the ability to train, mentor, supervise, and make staffing decisions, including hiring and termination. A successful candidate must be able to pass a background check and drug test, and maintain an acceptable driving record. Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others are essential.
