Check out this that highlights our amazing company culture.POSITION PURPOSE:The Human Resources (HR) Specialist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and providing assistance to the HR team. The HR Specialist will perform a variety of daily functions including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and training. This position supports the company's multiple locations. This is a security-sensitive position and requires utmost confidentiality with all employer and employee information.Requirements:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years' human resources experience, preferred
  • HR certification (SHRM, HRCI), preferred

  • Highly proficient computer knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Basic knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HCM system
  • Ability to travel as needed to other Bluebird offices
Summary:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Recruiting/Onboarding:
  • Develop and update job descriptions
  • Post jobs in HRIS and job boards
  • Screen candidates
  • Collaborate with hiring managers
  • Manage offer letters, background checks, and employee eligibility verifications
  • Facilitate the onboarding and orientation of new hires
Payroll/Benefits:
  • Enter new hire information
  • Update and maintain HRIS
  • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and benefits education
  • Serve as back up for bi-weekly payroll administration, including ensuring completion of tax filing and retirement plan contributions
Employee Relations and Communication:
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Maintain company's employee organizational chart
  • Assist with Performance Management
  • Create and support company culture initiatives
Training/Compliance:
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Create and maintain employee files
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
